Mariners vs. Red Sox at Safeco Field

What a cool experience to get to see a Major League Baseball game, the Statium was huge, and it was a sold out crowd of more than 46,000 screaming fans!

The Mariners were three games out of first place, so it was important to win! The Mariners hit a home run in the second inning and didn't score again till the end, then the Red sox went up 4-1. And Finally in the bottom of the 8th, the mariners scored two to get to 4-3. (And that place was going NUTS! it was so cool to be there screaming!)Then the Mariners brought in a new pitcher the top of the 9th and he got 2 strike outs. One was Manny Ramirez and the other was Big Papi, David Ortiz, both All-Stars! You couldn't hear yourself think after that! and the mariners got a ground out to end the top of the 9th....

So the mariners had they're chance to win it in the bottom of the 9th! But they had two quick outs, then they got a base hit, then the guy on first stole second! There was then a walk! And then...........the last batter of the night..........popped up to the catcher. It was over. DARN IT! But it was super fun to be a part of it! Matzusaka, who is a Rookie that the Red Sox paid like 19 million to bring over from Japan, pitched most of the game, and in the 7th inning, he was STILL throwing 96 mph fastballs! He was amazing! You should have seen the Camera flashes go off as he was pitching to Ichiro!
