This was the pueblo we stayed in, it brought back so many memories of my mission in Venezuela. my favorite part of the trip was probably the fact i was able to speak spanish 24/7. I loved it.
Another day we did a white water tubing activity. Going in, i was thinking, "ok, lets go float down some river, lounge around in the water and my tube." It was NOTHING like that, we walked through the jungle, got down to the river, and i was like. "ok.....im going down that...." no joke, it was pretty gnarly. but so so much fun!

Me with my surf instructor. I paid for a 2 hour personal lesson, and only lasted about a hour and 15 mins. that is a HARD sport! props to anyone who does it, cuz id love to really try to learn. Maybe if i was 15 again it'd be easier.
Costa Rican Scenery.
I felt like we were in a movie or something, so beautiful on our way out to fish in the Ocean.
The Ocean is amazing, it blows me away to even begin to think about how big it is, all the fish in the ocean, and how awesome it is. This was my first Rooster fish. fun to catch for sure! they are cool to see in their natural element too, one day as we were out fishing, we saw two large rooster fish literally chasing a Mahi Mahi around our boat, trying to catch it for their lunch, it was like something off the discovery channel! The mahi Mahi wa jumping out of the water like crazy trying to get away. it was sweet.

Me with my Pacific Jack fish. which we had for dinner that night, no joke, when the chef cooked it up, it looked just like a top sirloin steak, the texture was just like steak too, pretty cool!

This was about 5 minutes before we had to head in for the day and pack our bags to come home, my 2nd rooster fish, it took me about 15 mins to get to the boat. Its laying flat on its side in the picture, so it doesn't look too big, but we could barely hold it up for the picture. I loved it!
Me out in the Monsoon trying to catch my last fish, and the hard work (kinda hard work....not really) paid off, cuz i hooked into the fish in the photo previous!
This is the same Mahi Mahi that I caught in the pic above, about 5 mins after we caught it and brought it on board to take back to town, he changed colors to this bright blue. amazing!

Andy here, August 8-14th I got the opportunity to go to Costa Rica for a week with a company that We work with. And It was a amazing experience, so much more than i expected going into it. It is a awesome place that i would love to visit again. I'll try to go over what we did while were down there and add a bunch of pics.
I flew from Portland to Houston, then from Houston to Liberia, Costa Rica. We then took a taxi with our group about 30 mins and stayed in this little fishing village called Playa de Coco (Coco Beach). We had rented a amazing house about a mile from the beach that was all inclusive, yep, 3 meals a day, laundry service, 2 maids for the house, even as many pina coladas as we wanted to drink.
Heres a link to the house that we rented, if anyone is interested, i would HIGHLY recommend the place.
